Family Dinner at Mogu Shinsen Bar and Grill

It's a very rare occasion that I go out with the whole family since my dad, my brother, my sis in law and my 2 nieces live abroad. They're now here in Manila for a vacation and been here for almost 2 weeks but it was only last Sunday that the whole gang finally went out for dinner.  It's been a year since I last dined out with them - that was during my 2-1/2 week vacation in Kuwait.

We arrived at Bonifacio High Street around dinner time. My brother and SIL were craving for ramen so we  ended up at Mogu at Serendra.

There were no available seats inside when we got there so we settled for the long table outside. We were handed out the menu and selected our orders.

We had Salmon Sashimi @ 220

tastes good but nothing special (Omakase's still taste better)

Tuna Sashimi @ 185

3 orders of 5pc Ebi Tempura @ 315 each
I still prefer Yakimix's tempura

Ramen... (my brother's and sis-in-law's)

and one of their house specialties, Sukiyaki @ 680 (which I shared with my dad). The pot containing the raw beef, mushrooms, noodles, tofu and other veggies was placed on top of a burner. The beef was still raw when it was served. I had the waiter mix the egg while the other ingredients are slowly being cooked in the iron pot. The flame died out just in time for the whole thing to be cooked.

This was the best Sukiyaki I've tasted so far. Not too salty but a little bit too sweet.

Customer Service: Very Good. It didn't take long for our orders to be served. The waiters are very attentive to our needs. They even gave my niece a complimentary sundae.

The only thing I disliked about the al fresco dining is that I got bitten by mosquitoes.
