Bukit Bintang

Bukit Bintang (or Star Hill in English) is a major shopping district in Kuala Lumpur. It's got a lot of shopping malls, restaurants and cafes. Accommodations ranging from guesthouses to 5 star hotels are also found within the area.

This was our last destination on our Kuala Lumpur leg where we did our last minute shopping. After visiting the Petronas Skybridge, we hopped on the HOHO bus to get to Bukit Bintang. Good thing we didn't take the taxi because traffic was bad.

This post is actually about me and Dell since we separated from the group after getting off at the bus stop.

Dell and I started our shopping trip at Lot 10. We headed down to the food court and stuffed ourselves with our favorite dishes - Hokkien Mee and Roasted Pork.

On our way to the Pavilion, we passed by a Vincci store at Fahrenheit 88 Mall. So what's a shopaholic got to do? Enter the store! Ever since I saw the pair of red oxfords at their Suria KLCC branch, I instantly fell in love but too bad they were not available in my size. So I tried my luck again at Fahrenheit and thankfully they have it! And I was given a 10% tourist discount.

We didn't bother entering the Pavilion Mall anymore since we have no plans of buying anything there and we were already contented taking pictures of the bear displays in front.

Then we took the monorail at Bukit Bintang Station.

And got off at Bukit Nanas station and within a few meters walk from it is the Hard Rock Cafe where we bought Dell's souvenir shirt.

We had a glimpse of the KL Tower before taking the train back to our hotel.
