Shopping Day + Food Opera
May 29, 2011. This day was really scheduled for shopping. So right after our brunch at the Bugis Junction, our next stop was at Sim Lim Square where we bought stuff for the office. By afternoon, the boys headed to Funan IT mall while the rest of us opted to go to Orchard Road.
We hailed a cab and got off at Centrepoint. We didn't find any interesting stuff so we transferred to 313 @ Somerset (translation: mahal kasi). However, famous brands such as Forever 21, Mango, and Zara were not on sale so I ended up shopping again at Cotton On.
Our final stop that night before heading back to the hotel was at Ion Orchard where I met my Kuya Rye (my cousin). We were supposed to meet on our first day but I can't squeeze it in our very tight schedule. We met right in front of Rubi and the store was on sale. Haha! We braved the crowd while my cousin patiently waited outside the store. I told my colleagues that I'll just meet them at the hotel so I can spend time with my cousin. As soon as I've finished paying for my loot, Kuya Rye and I headed down to the Food Opera for dinner.
This number was given to us at the Hokkien Mee stall. When it lights up and vibrates, it means that your order is ready. Cool no?
We had Hokkien Mee...
Pork Satay with peanut sauce...
and chicken wings.
Right after dinner, we made a quick stop at River Island and got myself 2 tops. Other stores were closed already so we went straight to the MRT. He's heading north while I was heading down to Bugis so we bade each other goodbye and got on our trains. Thanks Kuya for the treat!
