SE Asia Trip Series (Day 2): Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
02.22.09
Selamat Pagi, Ronnie!
We started our day by having our breakfast at a nearby Mcdonald's.
We alighted the bus when we reached the Petronas stop to check out the stores inside Suria KLCC.
Each of us got a new pair of "cheap" VNCs. We made some quick window shopping then went back to the HOHO bus stop to continue with our tour.
We hopped off the bus at KLCC to check out the Aquaria.
Our original plan is to go to Genting that day but then it rained and it was already late so we just cancelled it. Instead of taking the taxi, we waited for the HOHO bus to get back to our hotel.
We were already hungry when we arrived at Bukit Bintang, so we had our lunch first at the food court inside Lot 10 mall before going back to our hotel.
Chicken Rice
We headed back to our hotel to freshen up. That was our plan but then all of us fell asleep. It was already getting dark when we woke up. tsk! tsk!
We got no other plans that night so we just checked out the malls in the area.We bought some shoes at Sungei Wang Plaza (I got another pair from Vincci) then headed off to Berjaya Times Square.
Because of our bad experience the previous night, we went back to eating western food.
It was almost closing time when we left the mall. The monorail Imbi Station is just outside Berjaya so we decided to ride even it is just one station away to our hotel.
Next stop: Phuket, Thailand

Mcdonald's crew.
English is widely spoken in Malaysia so ordering "turo-turo" style is not necessary. After breakfast, we headed to the nearest HOHO (hop-on, hop-off) bus stop to start our tour.
HOHO Bus stop no. 6
Upper deck of the HOHO bus
With the HOHO bus, you can check out 40 tourist attractions around KL. You only need to pay 38 RM which is good for 24 hours. All you got to do is hop on the bus then when it stops to a tourist spot, you can hop off to take photos for a few minutes then hop on the bus again. If you opted to stay there for a few more minutes, you can wait for the next HOHO bus which will arrive after 30 minutes.
