Paddle, Slide, High Five!
07.19.10
Everyone was up by 5am and was getting ready. By 6am, while we're still having our breakfast, the jeepney from Kagay arrived.
We were joined by a couple whom we picked up at the other hotel. We drove for about 30minutes to our starting point - the "put in"
No we're not jumping off the bridge
As soon as we got off the jeep, we were handed out our gears.
Most of us are first-timers but still chose the advance course.
The Advance Course is a 4hr- actual river run traversing through 24 Rapids. It’s priced at Php1,000/head
and includes the following:
- transfer from the hotel to the “put in”
-transfer from the” take-out” back to your hotel
- lifevest, helmet, paddle
Add-ons:
- P250 for the photos (in CD) for the whole group
- Lunch – P180
They lent us their dry bags for free where we placed all our valuables.
We went down the river bank which they called the “put-in” and listened to Kuya Tata’s instructions before we divided ourselves into 3 groups.
And the adventure begins... dug-dug. dug-dug.
practicing the high five command
Mission accomplished.
