Once Upon A Cantonese Winter: Zero Visibility At The Peak
Feb 18, 2011 — We arrived at the Hong Kong - Macau Ferry Terminal around 6pm which left us only 6 hours to spend that day. Having been unable to visit The Peak on our first day because of the thick fog, we decided to go there that day - foggy or not.
We exchanged some HKDs at Wing Hoi Money Changer at the Mirador Mansion.
Took some photos on our way to the star ferry terminal...
and boarded the next available ferry to Central Pier.
We went to the usual location of 15c bus stop which is a few steps outside the Central Pier 6 but later found out that is was relocated to Central Pier 8. The bus has just left when we reached the new bus stop so we had to wait for another 15-20 mins. There is another bus that goes straight to the Peak but I wanted them to experience riding the tram.
The bus dropped us off at the lower tram terminus. We were able to go straight to the ticket counter as there were only few people that time. We purchased tickets with Sky Terrace pass.
On our way up, we could not see anything outside the window because of the fog. And it was getting colder and colder as we get near the top.
We had dinner first at Burger King so we can escape the cold for a bit.
Afterwards, we headed to the Peak Galleria to buy a souvenir tee from the Hard Rock Store.
I knew going up the Sky Terrace in that weather condition was a total waste of time and money but still,
we're hopeful to see even a glimpse of the Hong Kong skyline.
Ladies and gentlemen, we failed. Lol.
Nevertheless, we still found ways to enjoy our stay at the top.
This is supposedly the view from the sky terrace.
We took the bus 15c back to the Central Pier and rode the star ferry back to TST.
Foggy.
From the Shun Tak Ferry Terminal, we went straight to the Golden Crown Guesthouse. We checked in, fixed our stuff, and left.

this is just a wallpaper we saw inside the Peak Tower. Hehe.
We didn't stay long at the terrace for fear of missing the tram's last trip back to the lower terminus.
