EBPS Day 5: Squeeze and Shout
Cake decorating is just so frustrating. Never thought I'd have a hard time doing it. It looked easy when Chef Heny was doing it but I tell you it's not. Pipe, scrape the frosting off, refill the piping bag, and repeat. And after 5 hours, I still couldn't do it right. But I'm not giving up. After all it's just one day. I still have my entire life to practice it.

August 3, Saturday.
Today was the second part of our Basic Cake Decorating lesson. We already did all the baking a week prior so this day was just focused on decorating. We're still combined with our classmates from the essential cooking class plus a new addition today, Adrienne, making up for her missed decorating lesson. She's from the weekday baking class.
Each of us were handed our tools and practice boards.
For our morning session, we did borders using boiled icing. A calming music was being played while we do our hands-on activity.

Now here's where I got frustrated. I think I tried to repeat it more than times. I even used half of my breaktime just to perfect it but to no avail.

For the royal icing, we did the rosebud, half rose, sweet pea and drop flowers.
The last thing we did using the boiled icing was the shell. I received a funny remark from Chef Heny when I showed her my work. "Bakit mukhang tahong? Dapat shell. Alam mo yung Shell na gas?"
