Nguyen Khang Hotel, Ho Chi Minh City
Pham Ngu Lao Street is Ho Chi Minh City's answer to Bangkok's Khao San Road when it comes to budget accommodations. Being the budget travelers that we are, we decided to stay at one of the cheapest guesthouses in the area — the Nguyen Khang Hotel.

The reception was on the second floor and we were welcomed by a pretty receptionist (we forgot to ask her name). Check-in was a breeze and soon we were assigned our rooms. We were given 2 triple rooms on 3rd and 4th floor. There was no elevator so we had to ask the staff to help us with our luggage.

Burberry-themed room.
Our room was facing Pham Ngu Lao but what we saw were only rooftops. =)
The bathroom is spacious and clean.
With free basic toiletries like Pamela soap. =)
We paid $14 each for a 1-1/2 night stay (breakfast included). We decided to pay for additional half day so we can still freshen up for our evening flight. Good thing, the guesthouse allowed us to stay in one room.
